Addiction Solitaire
Badge tips Be aware of the 30 minute time limit for Addicted to Love, and the one day time limit for Card Collapse! For badges requiring tokens, you'll earn more by placing more cards in blank spots, for winning games (of course), winning without using all your power-ups, making successful volcano guesses, and for receiving Token Gifts from other players. For badges requiring correctly placed cards, just keep clicking on empty spaces until the only empty spaces are to the right of Kings, then hit Reshuffle. When your Reshuffles and power-ups are gone, hit New Game. Note: if you make a move, use Undo, and then make the same move it will only count as one towards these badges. For Spike the Night Light, do the same, but make good use of power-ups to win hands. Generally, it's better to save the Free Move and Free Space til you've used up all reshuffles. If you get close to winning but don't, use Undo and try different moves to win the hand. For badges requiring you give Token Gifts, you'll earn a Token Gift award periodically by clicking highlighted cards. When you have one available, it shows with your power-ups. Then the next time you win a game, you'll get a choice of two players in the room to give bonus tokens to. If you don't care about spins or ranking, you can earn these badges a bit faster by hitting New Game if you don't have a Token Gift after finding all highlighted cards in a game. For badges requiring Pogo Buddies (and for ranking up), they're the characters that collect on the left side of the screen. You can earn them faster by uncovering the highlight cards til you get each round's buddies - most rounds have at least two - and then hitting New Game. For game win badges, refer to Game tips. Game tips ALWAYS read a game's How to Play, and also check for a Hints or Tips tab and/or Tutorial. They do help! Uncovering yellow highlighted cards results in a buddy, a Free Move or Free Space power-up, or Token Gift. Free Move lets you swap two cards; Free Space lets you remove a king; and Token Gift gives you a choice of two players to send tokens to when you win the next game. When you've collected 10 buddies you go to the bonus game, which is similar to the Pop Fu bonus game. If you click all the characters without making the volcano erupt, you get either extra tokens or one of the game's mini items. Try to look ahead before making moves and try to not get your Kings locked into spots they can't be moved from. You get three reshuffles per game. You're generally better off to save your power-ups until you've used all three reshuffles. If you get close to winning a game but lose, use Undo and try using different moves. More about Addiction Solitaire This game was released in March 2008, and is the only game included with a basic Club Pogo membership that includes mini items as Game awards. You can click on the various items around the desktop for little animations and sounds, and you can mouse over your collected buddies to see which games they're from. |
