Badge tips

Ranks are earned by shots fired, whether successful hits or not.

Terrifically Tenacious and Battleship Bomber are separate from rank badges. Terrifically Tenacious may be the only Pogo badge awarded for losing.

You don't need to win games for Direct Hit! or Torpedo - you can just click random spaces until you earn the badge.

Game tips

ALWAYS read a game's How to Play, and also check for a Hints or Tips tab and/or Tutorial. They do help!

There are several tabs to play on different modes, as well as options within each tab. The Pogo tab includes Salvo mode, where each player gets as many shots per turn as they have ships remaining. Players get 1 shot per turn on the Classic tab, and 4 shots per turn on the Speedy tab.

Several power-ups are available and placed randomly in the grid at the beginning of a game. Each group of four power-up indicators has one power-up. They include Heavy Shot (5 shots at once in a cross formation), Torpedo (shoots an entire row), Sinking Ships (the entire ship sinks with one hit), Reinforcements (an extra battleship is placed), Counter Attack (steal's a power-up of your opponent if they have any), Harpoon (5 shots at once in an X formation), Attack Squadrons (awards two extra shots), Tomahawk (9 shots at once in a block formation), and Heat Seeking Missile (automatically hit a ship - awarded if you find two power-ups in one turn).

Your and your opponent's fleet & power-up info is displayed at the top of the screen. Refer to it to gauge the size of your opponent's remaining ships and place your shots accordingly.

The goal is to find (sink) all of your opponent's ships before they find yours. If you do, you win the game and earn a jackpot spin.
