Badge tips

For easy vertical, diagonal or horizontal match badges against a friend or cooperative partner, set up your matches on opposite sides of the board and don't block each other's progress. Select 10 Game points in the table options for either type. Select No Junk Blocks for verticals or horizontals, and Use Junk Blocks for diagonals.

If you use the "fastest ranking with a friend" method below for the Spike-in-the-Box or Four-for-One badges, you'll get credit for 11 matches per game.

For horizontal matches against a Pogobot, use the "fast ranking against a Pogobot" method in Game tips below.

For diagonal match badges against a Pogobot, select 10 Game points/Use Junk Blocks in the table options. The Pogobot will always begin making verticals in the 6th column from the left - let it do so and make its matches. Meanwhile, drop one of your discs atop each of the four columns of junk blocks on the right side, then click the junk blocks below them. The blocks will move to the top and your discs will drop down. Continue until you form a descending, diagonal pattern of four.

BlooopFor vertical match badges against a Pogobot, select 10 Game points/Use Junk Blocks in the table options. Drop two discs onto any column, then click one of junk blocks below your pair to move it to the top. Next place two discs on top of that block, then click away the block between your pairs and you have a vertical. If you do this on a column with 4 blocks, you'll get two verticals. If the bot tries to block you, just start over in another column - it will usually go back to its usual spot in the 6th column.

For the Secret Blooop badge, you simply need to win one game on the Master tab against a Pogobot. Check "Allow players to watch" and "Allow watchers to see your hand" on the table options. To play a bot, set options to 10 Game points/Use Junk Blocks and use the diagonal method above. To play with a friend or cooperative partner, set options to 1 Game point/no Junk Blocks, and stack up three vertical discs - obviously your partner shouldn't block you. When it's your turn, wait for your partner to stand and the Pogobot to take their seat. Then simply place the fourth disc for the win and the badge. This method takes just a few minutes.

Game tips

ALWAYS read a game's How to Play, and also check for a Hints or Tips tab and/or Tutorial. They do help! Click to watch the Blooop tutorial.

BlooopFor fast ranking against a Pogobot, select 10 Game points/Use Junk Blocks in the table options. Click away junk blocks so each of your 4 discs falls to the bottom row. Before you drop the 4th to the bottom, fill in any gaps in the top rows on both sides of the board. The Pogobot might earn 5, 6 or more points making its verticals - that's okay. If it places a disc anywhere but its usual 6th column spot, place one of yours on top of it. When you drop your 4th disc to the bottom row, it will start a chain reaction that will usually give you 10 to 14 points and the win. Note: Be sure you don't inadvertently form a diagonal match or the chain reaction won't work!

BlooopFor fastest ranking with a friend or cooperative player, select 10 Game points and no Junk Blocks in the table options. First fill columns 1 & 2 (from the left) to the top, alternating colors. In this example, yellow went first. Next, fill column 3 but leave the top two squares empty. Skip column 4, and fill column 5 to the top. Skip column 6, and fill column 7 but leave the top two squares empty. Skip column 8, and fill column 9 to the top. Fill column 10 but leave one square empty at the top.

Now it's the second person's turn (green in this example). He or she goes back to start column 8 and you alternate again, but leave the top two squares empty. Then fill column 4 but leave the top square empty. Now it's the first person's turn (yellow in this example). He or she drops the final disc at the top of column 10 on the far right. This starts a chain reaction that, when finished, will award each player 17 points and a spin! If you like, you can raise the score to 26 points each by making 9 verticals each before building this cascade layout.

More about Blooop

Click on your rank ball to find out how many matches you need to reach the next rank. Matches of 5 or more discs count as two.

Clicking the pig or duck cubes makes them oink or quack. There's also a cow cube behind the opponent's rank ball, but you can only make it moo by setting a ranked game and clicking the cow before an opponent joins.

This game ranks up relatively fast early on and can be finished with some dedicated time during the long final ranks.

The Secret Blooop badge is only "secret" because there's nothing in the How to Play or badge album that tells you how to get it!
