Badge tips

For Doodle Daredevil, you need to solve the main words plus the Bonus word.

For Comic Capers, you can hit New Game after finishing the main round since Bonus Round words don't count towards this badge.

For Erase the Year, you need to solve the main round, then solve the Bonus (vertical) word in the Bonus round.

For Doodle Dude, you'll earn more tokens for playing on harder difficulty levels and for making correct guesses in a row. The points multiplier goes up for guessing letters that have multiples in the puzzle when you're on a streak of correct guesses, and is applied to the Bonus Round. The more correct guesses in a row, the more points. You'll also earn a bonus if you don't make any wrong guesses in a puzzle.

For Climb the Ladder, if you make a wrong guess you can hit New Game unless you want to finish the game for ranking or spin progress.

Game tips

ALWAYS read a game's How to Play, and also check for a Hints or Tips tab and/or Tutorial. They do help!

This is a pretty basic game, with four correct puzzles earning a jackpot spin. You don't need a successful Bonus Round to rank up, and you don't rank up any faster on Medium or Hard than Easy - those just offer more token potential.

Guessing E, N, R, S, T will often give the words a good start. After that A, D, L, O, I, M will usually give you enough to complete the words without using up all your guesses. Pay attention to words you miss or that are unfamiliar to you, as they will come up again.

Words in each puzzle are loosely grouped by category. You can see the category on Easy but not on Medium or Hard. The Bonus word is not related to the main puzzle category on Hard.

If you leave the room after getting a spin, you'll get credit for two spins. Note there's no guarantee this glitch will remain.

The categories and very general criteria are: Auto-matic (transportation-related); Bod-acious (body parts/body-related); Creepy Critters (bugs, reptiles); Edible Complex (food-related); Fashion Show (clothing-related); Fighting Words (weapon-related); Garden of Eaten (foods/plants); Green Thumb (plants); Grow for It (plants, things that grow); Home Sweet Home (household items); Modern Marvels (inventions); Over the Rainbow (colors); Over your Head (high or flying things); Sensitive Side (moods/emotions); Sheltered Life (buildings); Sonic Boom (noise/music-related); Sub-marine (sealife/water-related); Sweet Tooth (dessert-related); and Wild Kingdom (animals).

More about Hangman Hijinks

You can use your mouse or type your letter guesses in this game.

Clicking your rank icon at the lower left will show how many spins you need for the next rank, but often it requires a double-click or even rapid multiple clicks to get the notice to pop up.

The same words start to recycle long before the first badge, making this game less challenging overall than many word games.

This game ranks up relatively slowly, especially in the upper ranks

The basic game of Hangman helped made "Wheel of Fortune" creator Merv Griffin a very wealthy man.
