Badge tips

Be aware of the 30 minute time limit for Roll 'n Spin, and the 5 minute time limit for Big Big Winner!

For Hog Harp or Hog Halo, use at least one halo if you have three collected or any others you get on the spin reels will be wasted.

For Wild Hog or Piggie Cloudland, just keep spinning.

For When Pigs Fly or Roll 'n Spin (and for ranking up), try to use halos when they'll make matches of four or five, create more than one match, or cause a chain reaction.

Do the same for Heavenly Snowman and Pink Piggy, but concentrate on lining up the color needed.

For badges requiring tokens, play with maximum bet and maximum lines, but be aware you are gambling with your own tokens.

Game tips

ALWAYS read a game's How to Play, and also check for a Hints or Tips tab and/or Tutorial. They do help!

If you can't line up the piggies to use your halo(s), re-enter the room or move to a new one and the flying piggies will be rearranged. Note this is a game glitch and may not continue to work.

Always bet 9 lines. If you start losing a lot, try reducing your Bet Per Line - it usually helps you to start winning again. I go to 6 per line and spin once, then once on 7, and so on til I'm back at 10 per line. I usually start winning again, and I always come out ahead after a session.

However, be aware if you bet less than the maximum bet, your payouts are smaller.. if you hit five kings you won't get 100,000 tokens.

At this time, there's also a related programming problem in this game. It refreshes every few seconds, catching up token totals in the room list. If you've been playing less than maximum bet and then go to max and get a Flying Pigs Bonus, you won't get the proper token payouts if the room hasn't refreshed itself since you went up to max.

These were both betting the maximum, but less than that a spin or two earlier. Four piggies in a row on max bet should pay 270 - not 237. Three should pay 180 - not 158 and not 162.

Pogo now claims "The Flying Pig Bonus payouts will vary if you change the number of tokens bet fairly often. That is the way the game is designed to work" - but since the How to Play mentions nothing about this, it makes you wonder.

This is one of the easiest games on Pogo (along with Vaults of Atlantis and the various story slots games) and can practically be played in your sleep. They often give some good token payouts when playing the maximum bet, but be aware you are gambling with your tokens: if you don't want to take a chance on losing some, bet fewer.

Outside of player versus player poker, this game has the highest in-game payout on Pogo: 100,000 tokens for five kings on the maximum bet.. and people get it! There are usually one or two 100,000 winners on the 24-hour high score list for active rooms.

Jackpot spins are rare in this game and often low, 20 or 40 tokens, although it also offers an occasional 5,000 token spin.

Getting a jackpot spin is the only way to see the high scores list. High scores are based on reel spins.

Clicking the Select Lines button plays banjo notes, giving the game kind of a Deliverance theme.

You can click the Pay Table button to scroll thru the various payouts, but the How to Play has the payouts shown on one page (and you can keep it open while you play).

This game had a glitch where if you hit the $ bag in the Hog Heaven Bonus before you'd gathered many tokens in there, you could get another chance if you didn't click a bag on the next screen of five bags and instead refreshed or entered another room. You'd be back at nine Bonus bars and only needed one more to try again. It appears this glitch has now been removed.

This game ranks up quick and consistent - requirements don't increase dramatically until the last few ranks. It's probably the fastest game to finish and get the final badge. Wonderland Memories was also relatively quick to finish before it had more ranks added.. there are rumors that Hog Heaven will also have more ranks added to it.
