Badge tips

Give 1,000 Gifts and 50,000 Matches are separate from rank badges, and are earned by completing the tasks described.

For Give 1,000 Gifts and Jumpin' Giraffe, you send a gift every time you complete a "safari" by completing 10 animals on the left side and earning a spin. Gifts are awarded to other players randomly.

For badges requiring tokens, be sure to match the animal halves to move you up the status bar on the left side so you can earn spins.

For the Aardvark badge, play on Easy and just work as fast as you can. Use your power-ups, keep clicking while the animal graphics play, try swapping tiles (top left box), and hit New Game if the layout looks too difficult. Be prepared to be there awhile: 50 puzzles at 3 minutes is 2½ hours! Add the time for game transitions, spins and so forth (plus unsuccessful attempts).. but be grateful that they reduced the requirements - this badge was originally published as 100 times!

Note that although Aardvark says "3 minutes or less" you don't get credit for games you finish at exactly 3:00.

For Safari Browser, you make an animal combo by matching a pair of animal tiles and then quickly matching another pair of the same animal. To earn this badge, find four free tiles of the same animal, then click away all four.

Game tips

ALWAYS read a game's How to Play, and also check for a Hints or Tips tab and/or Tutorial. They do help!

Click away tiles by mousing a connecting line between matching tiles through blank spaces. Your path can't make more than two turns.

Matching two Star tiles earns one of three power-ups: Shuffle lets you mix up all the tiles; Long Line lets you match two tiles with more than two turns; and Hint shows an available match.

Matching tiles of two non-identical halves gives you an animal on the left side. Earning ten gives you a jackpot spin. There are two in each puzzle on Easy level, three on Normal, and four on Hard.

For faster ranking, you can hit New Game after matching the halves to get the special animals on the left side.

More about Mahjong Safari

This game was released in March 2008, and replaced Animal Ark Mahjong.

Gameplay is similar to Mahjong Garden and Mahjong Garden Deluxe.
