Badge tips

Be aware of the two hour time limit for the Home Run badge, and the one day time limit for Puggles and Spinning Bow Tie!

Be sure to select the proper Skill Level for badges that specify a level!

Badges requiring released prizes refer to items that are dropped after removing balloons with packages on them.

For Spike's Badge, if you've won one or two games and it doesn't look like you'll win the next, leave the room and enter another. If you win the next game, it will count as "in a row". If Spike says "My friend, you're out of moves" hit Undo Move and then Undo a couple more times before leaving the room.

For Taurus or Cacti in Love, be sure to select the appropriate difficulty level before starting! Prizes are in higher rows on harder settings and often require more pops of small groups than large.

For badges requiring Super Pops, count balloons before popping to make sure you have at least eight of the same color (or hit Undo if you didn't get the Super Pop message). Concentrate on popping these same-color groups rather than on winning the game. You'll generally get more large color blocks playing on Easy. If the game begins with colors scattered around, hit New Game until you have several color blocks.

For badges requiring you pop every balloon, play on Skill Level 1 and hit New Game until you have two balloons with stars on the board, indicating one of each power-up. If you're close at the end of the game with just a few balloons left, try hitting Undo a few times to see if you can clear out the stragglers using a different route.

For badges requiring tokens, you'll earn more on higher difficulties and for winning games (and getting spins!)

For fastest badges requiring use of the push pin and/or weight power-ups (if you don't care about ranking up) you can hit New Game til you get two star balloons, quickly release them, use the pin and/or weight anywhere, and then hit New Game again. Stars are easy to release so these go pretty quick if you don't care about winning the game. Push pins & weights seem to run about 50/50 in one-star games. If you want to play for wins with these badges, hit New Game til you have two balloons with stars on them, guaranteeing you'll have whichever you need.

The Pisces badge is one of the longest on Pogo - there are only 15 prizes per game. Pack a lunch.

For game win badges, refer to Game tips.

Game tips

ALWAYS read a game's How to Play, and also check for a Hints or Tips tab and/or Tutorial. They do help!

A game is considered won when all the prizes have been released, and considered lost when no more matches can be made. You'll get bonus tokens if you leave five or fewer balloons.

In general, work from the bottom and pop horizontal matches rather than vertical, since you can always pop away vertical matches later.

Save power-ups until you need them.

When leaving a single color balloon in a column, make sure you have one or more balloon of the same color in an adjacent column.

You can use Undo all the way back to the beginning of a game. Using Undo and making a change or two often makes the different between a winning or losing game.

More about Poppit!

In addition to Game Award badges, alternate themes are earned at Ranks 5, 15 and 25 that change the game graphics.

This was one of the first games to be re-released with ranks, Game Awards, and new graphics.

You can use right-click to Undo rather than hitting the Undo button, except when the the "out of moves" pop-up pops up.

You must win games to make rank progress. This game ranks up relatively fast early on but slows down midway. It takes a lot of time & dedication to win the final badge.

Gameplay is identical to The Poppit! Show and similar to Pop Fu. All three feature one of Pogo's main characters, a potted cactus named Spike.

The Zero Balloons badge was only available during the dates shown above. Special Edition badges can't be activated as personal challenges.

Now you can win (or lose) real money playing Poppit! in casinos. The game has been licensed to Bally Technologies, Inc. who have a Poppit! slot machine complete with Pogo-style jackpot spinner and a bonus game that plays like Poppit!
