Badge tips

Be aware of the one day time limit for the Giant Tea Cup badge! (It doesn't take long at all.)

Be sure you have Queen cookies selected in the Menu for the Defeat the Queen badge! You must be at least Rank 1 to have access to Queen cookies.

For Defeat the Queen, match a pair of Queen cookies to start the Bonus round - you can click Hint to find them. Correctly clicking four tiles in order counts as one defeat for this badge (though you have to repeat the sequence several times to defeat the Queen for game stats purposes).

To get the White Rabbit's or Fat Free badges faster, use Match and Swap with White Rabbit cookies.

For badges requiring the "All Showing" bonus, use the Menu to deselect most rank cookies, but make sure Wild, Match and Swap are selected. Play on Easy and pick one cookie type to not match, then click away all other cookies. Eventually most cookies left will be the same type: use Hint to see what's where, then take advantage of Wild, Match and Swap to turn over the remaining cookies. Note if you're running out of Hints, you can select the Queen cookie for extra peeks at the board during the bonus round.

For badges requiring tokens, you get extra tokens for each marker the rabbit up top passes, making blind matches (Nice Find), exposing all cookies on a board (All Showing/Cheshire Cat), playing on harder difficulties, including 2x or 3x cookies in a group, making matches in the Bonus round, and for finishing a game quickly. Note you must get the rabbit all the way across to win and collect your tokens.

Game tips

ALWAYS read a game's How to Play, and also check for a Hints or Tips tab and/or Tutorial. They do help!

There's no penalty for using Hint to get a peek at the whole board. You get a new chance for another Hint whenever the white rabbit at the top passes a marker. You also get free peeks when a game begins and after the Bonus round, whether you won it or not.

If you turn expose a cookie in a turn and you know where a match for it is, click the cookie you think is the match first and then the one you just saw.

These are the four power-ups in the game, when they're awarded and how to use them:
  • Rank 1 - Queen cookie - match two to go to the Bonus round
  • Rank 2 - Wild cookie - matches the last cookie you clicked (or the next if you click it first)
  • Rank 3 - Match cookie - finds all available cookies as the last one you clicked (or the next if you click it first)
  • Rank 4 - Swap cookie - transforms one type of cookie into the same type as the last one you clicked (or the next if you click it first)
When using Match or Swap, be sure every matching cookie has a red highlight border around it. Click the ones that don't.

Click on Menu and flip through the pages to activate or de-activate cookies to be used in each game along with the default non-rank cookies. The fewer you have checked, the easier it will be to get used to the cookies that will show up and you'll be able to match them faster. You can play with only the power-ups checked, or you can check cookies you like or that are brightly colored for easier finding.

You can bypass the Bonus round by unchecking the Queen cookies, which also adds two more cookies for slightly faster game progress.

To make the rabbit at the top progress faster, consider not clicking one type of cookie for several turns. Before long you'll have many more of that type, and you can use Match, Swap and Wild with it to make very large groups.

There's no penalty for wrong guesses (other than time) so always make a guess. For a third or subsequent match, if you guess wrong you still get credit for the match(es) that came before, and you might get a Nice Find bonus or power-up.

If your first click doesn't turn over the cookie you wanted, just click it again to turn it back over.

More about Wonderland Memories

This game is based on the classic Concentration game, but there isn't really a lot of memorization required for this one (other than the Bonus round) since the board changes so frequently.

You can use right-click rather than hitting the Submit button - it's much faster.

This games ranks up quickly and was one of the fastest & easiest to complete and earn the final badge - or at least it was before 25 new ranks were added in May 2007. Ranks 18 and 21 are substantially longer than the others in the first half of the game. The new later ranks will also take some exta time to complete.

Many of the earlier rank cookies in this game are old-fashioned types that your mom, grandma, or someone else might have made for you. In keeping with the game's title, it really can bring back some lovely memories of those special people from our past who used to bake tasty treats for us.

The Cheshire Cat's Weekend badge was only available during the dates shown above. Special Edition badges can't be activated as personal challenges.
