Badge tips

The first rank badge is awarded very quickly, and can be earned by playing the free trial along with a few of the mini items.

Rank progress is earned by making correct guesses. Whether guessing or giving clues, use the same word form as the secret word, i.e. singular versus plural. No credit is given for answers that are close: they must be exact.

Watch the category at the top of the game. The categories are often loosely defined but they can at least help prevent you from making wildly wrong guesses.

Some cluegivers will use upper case letters in their clue to give additional help. For instance. if the clue given is Fight (with upper case F), the answer might be Feud rather than battle, argument, etc.

ALWAYS read a game's How to Play, and also check for a Hints or Tips tab and/or Tutorial. They do help!

As you make correct guesses, you'll earn hints that you can use when you are the Cluegiver. They do help, and your team will appreciate them!

When entering a room, you'll be randomly assigned to either the red or the blue team, space permitting.

Cluegivers are selected randomly. You can choose not to be a Cluegiver in the game options.

This game was released in April 2008. Word Riot was a Pogo game years ago, and has been revived and enhanced for this download/for pay game.

Unlike like most download games that offer a one-hour trial, this game lets you play two hours before it stops awarding rank progress.
